A great Speaker!

I found this 17 year old speaker on You Tube about a month ago. I wish that I could find him. His mother must be proud of him.

Congratulations President Obama!!!

I am so happy that he won that I can't stand it. When the electoral count got to 206, I couldn't stand it anymore and had to turn off the television. I am so proud to be an American not just an African-American.

Married Life

I just got married on September 27, 2008. There are so many things that people don't tell you about that would seem to be okay but are crazier than ever.

1. Why does it seem like, after you get married, he decides not to keep a clean house? Does he not realize that you are not his maid? We both work a 8 hr. shift and he gets home most of the time 5 to 6 hours before me. So, I am suppose to clean up after him.
2. Why do I have to cook his meals? He went to school to become a chief. Shouldn't he be cooking me meals?

Help, me please. I don't understand this.

Technology!

Technology in genereal is really driving me crazy. We are moving to it a little to fast for my tast. I mean, okay, some is good. I believe that some technology will get some people in that special place in heaven. Right now, the only thing of technology that I'm remotely interested in is the use of my DVD player.

I'm getting married!!!!

I'm getting married and I'm a bag of nerves. He is so laid back that it is killing me. When ever something comes up he says, "Whatever you say, baby". That kills me. What does that mean? However, that may be a good thing. Maybe, I think that I can just get my way as far as the wedding is concern.

Anyway, enjoy. Sept 27 @ 12 noon I will be getting married.

Travel

There are many things that I really do enjoy doing:

• Reading
• Writing
• Traveling
• Cooking my niece
• Simply being alone

Of all the those things traveling is the most fun for me. For example: A couple of years ago, I went on a cruise by myself and had the best time ever. My family says that they would not be brave enough to do it. 7 days not having to consult anyone else about anything other than anything I want to do.

What is your opinion on this? What do you enjoy doing?

Year of the Rat

I don't know. I just became aware that my Chinese Zodiac is the Rat. The Rat? Is this a good thing? Why couldn't this year be something like the year of the Lion? The Rat? These are not clean animals people!!!!!!! However, I'm not going to take away from it. I just need to find out more about this.

That is why I love the Library. You can get so much information in so many different ways: atlas, encyclopedia, dictionary, fictional books, non-fictional books, Internet and last but not least LIBRARIANS!!!!
